Montessori in the Public Sector

Exploring alternative approaches to education

This summer institute will provide opportunities for participants to work with noted Montessori educators who bring a wealth of practical knowledge and strategies that will help practicing elementary Montessorians as well those who want to learn more about this alternative approach.

There are more than fifteen public school districts in British Columbia and Alberta that offer Montessori programs as an alternative approach at the elementary level.

This Institute aims to raise awareness of Montessori as an alternative approach to education at the elementary level in the broader education community, and the need for Montessori elementary trained teachers to meet public school needs and advocate for the development of a support network for those interested in implementing Montessori at the elementary level in Canada.
