Hello Everyone,

I hope everyone is doing well and counting down to the summer vacation.

We have exciting news to share with you all.

This year’s October Conference, Hearts & Hands, will be a face-to-face conference at the Pavilion in Stanley Park! We are splurging this year because we have accumulated extra funds that were not needed to cover catering costs due to virtual conferencing.  We thought it fitting to have an exciting, once-in-a-lifetime venue to celebrate the fact that we can all be back together again.

We will be having two wonderful keynote speakers, Anjeanette Dawson - Counsellor/Indigenous Specialist, and Betsy Lockhart, an avid Montessorian.

Please make sure to mark your calendars for Friday, October 21, 2022.

This year, as I mentioned, I will be stepping down as President of the Montessori PSA. It has been an honor to fill this role these past 5 years.

We will be looking to fill several positions on the Executive, President, Vice-President, Conference Chairperson, and member at large.  Experience is not required only enthusiasm and a willingness to promote Montessori!  Training for some of these positions is provided by the BCTF.  Please consider stepping up for one of these positions – it is very rewarding and desperately needed.

The Montessori Workshops that are being offered this summer are exciting too.

Remember that the workshop funds application is on the website.

The application form is located on our PSA website at https://www.bcmontessoripsa.org/psa-bursaries

Again, have a wonderful summer, and stay tuned for registration that should take place in late August/early September.

All the best, Patricia Patrick, President of BCMTPSA on behalf of all the Executive
