Sierra Club
This workshop is held in conjunction with Sierra Club BC, a predominantly settler-led organization. Their education team is inviting you into their journey of learning how to connect with your local land base while trying to incorporate Indigenous ways of knowing in a respectful way.
We will go outside the Conference site and provide many connections to use in your school area and beyond. There will be thoughtful questions for all of us to consider as we build our collective understandings plus links to support our learning journeys. Come dressed for the weather and bring your stories, wonderings, and questions.
Since 1998, the Sierra Club BC Education team has offered a variety of free environmental education workshops in communities across the province - in classrooms, school yards, homeschool neighbourhoods, and a local outdoor spaces. Their team is made up of incredibly talented Facilitators of Learning with diverse backgrounds, lived experiences, and gifts to share.
